Why traditional forum threads cause intense cognitive fatigue
Old platforms overwhelm you with dozens of tiny, low-contrast icons, nested avatars, and messy signatures. Conversely, algorithmic timelines throw random context at you constantly. A modern forum architecture forces breathing room. Whitespace isn't wasted space; it's structural clarity designed for deep reading and knowledge sharing.
Completely agree on the sidebar solution. If we look at traditional trees, restricting horizontal padding to a maximum of three levels on mobile viewports prevents text truncation entirely, forcing subsequent branches to stack logically.
